A Vampire?? I need a sunshine

Smalam pi check up. And Doc confirm that i have Vitamin D deficiency. Sangat2 kurang...
I think those yg treatment under dr A, mesti tau yang doc A memang check vit D level patient dia. Sebab there are researches yg mengaitkan infertility with vitamin D deficiencies. You may refer to this article and this article on Vitamin D and infertility.

Vitamin D ni juga dikenali sebagai 'Sunshine' vitamin... Sebab source nak dapat vitamin D ni, bleh dapat dari sinaran matahari... Mungkin jugak la sebab suasana kerja zaman sekarang; kluar umah sebelum matahari naik, pi lunch dalam bagunan je, and balik matahari dah terbenam... menyebabkan exposure pada matahari tu kurang...(hence vampire la kan... x kena sinaran matahari... heheehe).
Selain dari sebab kekurangan exposure to sunlight, those yg BMInya tinggi pun mungkin boleh menyebabkan kekurangan vitamin D. And also, semakin meningkat usia, makin kurang lah daya penyerapan vitamin D.

So, doc prescribed me with 3 times daily of Vitamin D supplement untuk 2 bulan. Lemah betui la tang ubat2 ni...sebab slalu lupa... so kena buh alarm kat hp so that i x lupa (done!). Other than taking the supplement, nak kena cari peluang utk exposekan diri pada matahari. according to my reading, 10- 15 minutes of exposure at least 2 times per week. Hmmm...on weekend la kot... hari kerja macam susah sket... Cara lain, melalui pemakanan... ikan salmon, sardine and mackerel antara ikan yg ada vit d. Shitake mushroom, kuning telur pun ada gak sumber vitamin d.

And i'm scheduled for another blood test for vitamin d in March. Hopefully dapat la naik sket bacaan tu... chaiyyok!!!!

  1. Akak pun makan gak vit d ni.dulu2 punye treatment tak payah pun,sejak lining uterus nipis baru dr suruh makan.dia larut lemak kan vit d ni,jadi terpaksalah mkn lemak2 nak kawankan dia.,hihi

    petang2 blk, of couse dah penat terus nak blk rumah kelam kabut pulak nak masak utk husband..

    1. betul nina... akak slalu sampai umah pkol 7 malam. bila masa nak kena matahari... memang weekend je la... tu pun kalo x berlingkar kat sofa... heheeh :-P

    tapi akak jangan lupa, kul9 ke bawah je ada vit. D. Avoid sunlight around 9am (ada yang kata 10am) till 4 pm. Not good for our health. :)

    dalam banyak2 list makanan tu, ok suka juga lah kuning telur & shitake & salmon. tapi kuning telur paling murah dan mudah didapati.

Yani tak pernah buat apa2 test pasal vitamin D cukup ke tidak dalam badan untuk bantu conceive...hospital kerajaan la katakan, yg basic je dia pantau.....nnt next appointmnet nak try tanya doc bleh buat test ni tak? Mana tahu Yani pun sama kurang vitamin D....vitamin M(alas) memang banyak dalam badan, tak yah makan supplemen....hehheheh

  6. nolly, i pun tau masa jumpa doc. i rasa nurse dia busy sgt kot... x sempat nk tepon. and after sometome, nak tau result kena chk balik dalam fail.

  7. Kak ST, Mungkin ni petanda boleh request kat Cik Abe nak bercuti kat pulau-pulau. Perlukan Vitamin D gitu hahaha.

Mood Tak Sabar

Been reading other's people experience about it... and everytime membaca catatan mereka, semakin rasa sebak dan teruja. Ya Allah... begitu melonjak-lonjak perasaan ku ini... terasa lambatnya masa berlalu... . Counting days.... Anyway... semalam jumpa doc cantik. Ramai sungguh patient doc. I was the 16th. Dekat pkol 1.30 pm baru masuk jumpa doc (well...sampai pon lambat kan...memang la no 16 jawabnya... hehehehe). Masuk2 jumpa doc, doc pun kata, lamanya tak jumpa. Heheheh...berehat doc... so check up macam biasa and get her advice. Doc prescribed ubat, then balik umah lps amik ubat. Need to remind myself - ini hanya usaha. Allah jua yg tentukan segalanya. Semoga Allah permudahkan semua urusanku yang satu ini.... Amin...
